Publisher provides an option to save a page designed for print as a web page. Publisher will generate the HTML required for a web page to work but it will be in a form that cannot be changed or read by a web page design tool such as FrontPage. You can view the source from a web browser in the normal way and you will see how different the code is from a normal HTML page - best leave it that!
There is a tempting 'Convert File to Web Publication' option in the File menu but it is probably best to ignore this for now, and likewise the 'Publish to the Web' option. Instead use plain old File/Save As.
Choose File/Save As and select 'Web Page (*.htm; *.html)' option. Do not choose the 'Single File Web Page(*.mhtm; *.mhtml)' option as this will create a single very large file but with no navigation to anything but the first page.
Browse to the directory where you want to save the HTML files (create a new one in advance if necessary), provide a name for the first page and click Save. This will create a series of pages with the first page of the publication in the root of the directory you chose and the other pages of the publication in a folder of the same name as your filename with '_files' appended.
You can now copy the first file into the folder along with the other files and do any renaming that you require. For example, you could save the twelve pages of the Calendar project and rename them 'january', 'february', etc.
With all your files in one place you could now use a web page editor such as FrontPage to create a new page with links to the pages of your publication. There will be no links between pages, users will have to click the Back button to return to the index page but at least you haven't spoiled your publication design with navigation buttons.
If you have a larger web site you could set up a link to the index to your pages. This will provide a fairly sound way of archiving a printed publication to web pages.
At this point you could try Insert/Navigation bar in Publisher and observe the effects. You probably will not want to retain the feature so click the Undo button to remove it.
